Dragon Ball Z.
Already adapted for the cinema in live action (with actors) in Asia in the 90s, the famous manga finally gave rise to a Hollywood version in 2009, entitled Dragonball Evolution .
But the result is disastrous.
An absolute shipwreck, reviled by critics and spectators alike.
The film is notably No. 1 in the Top 100 worst films of all time on Allô Ciné , with a score of 0.9 out of 5…

It is worth noting that faced with such an outpouring of hatred, Ben Ramsey, the film’s screenwriter, had a surprising reaction in 2016. During an interview, he declared:
“To have written a film that was so poorly received is heartbreaking. To receive so many insulting letters broke my heart. I embarked on this project because there was a big check at stake. I was not a fan of this cartoon, I just wanted to take the contract, like a businessman. I have understood today that you cannot do something creatively interesting without a minimum of passion. Otherwise, you only get an average result, or even nothing. So I do not blame anyone but myself for Dragonball Evolution.”
