While filming Mr & Mrs Smith , Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie began their romantic relationship, while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Their relationship didn’t remain a secret for long, and paparazzi soon began swarming filming locations in hopes of stealing a shot of the couple. So much so that they were regularly in the camera’s frame.
The film’s producer, Akiva Goldsman, spoke about the issue in an interview with the New York Post :
“There was an army of paparazzi on the streets where we were shooting. It was impossible to get rid of them. In the end, although we tried everything to keep them away, there were several shots in the film where you could see them in the background… As a result, we had to retouch certain scenes with a computer to remove the paparazzi from the film…”
