What are your favorite movies of 2020?

In 2020, because of you know what… I wasn’t able to go to the movies as often as I would have liked.

So I’ve only seen one movie on the big screen: Little Women , by Greta Gerwig.

At first, when I learned that yet another film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s novel was going to be released, I wasn’t really curious to see it since I know the story by heart. But I saw the trailer and I liked the tomboyish clothing style of Jo’s character and it made me want to see more than just the previews in the trailer. Jo’s clothing choices are very revealing about her personality and her aspirations, about female emancipation… She stands out from the appearance of her other sisters, she doesn’t hesitate to borrow her friend Laurie’s clothes and hats. In short, she wants to continue wearing dresses, but in her own way, with a little androgynous touch…

Bravo to the film’s costume designer!
