Anakin Skywalker played by Hayden Christensen in the Star Wars prequels.
Winner of Worst Supporting Actor for Revenge of the Sith, much has already been written about his performance.
It’s hard for me to shoot an ambulance.
But I recently saw these films for the first time, and I have to say I was struck by his monolithic acting built on frowns and mean eyes with a glance from below:

“Boo!”
Either the stakes were too high for him, or he didn’t have the stature to play the iconic young Darth Vader.
It must be said that he was not helped by his dialogues, immature and childish, sometimes downright silly, during his love story with Padmé.
He doesn’t inhabit his character, we see him acting and badly…
A good big teenage crisis for someone who will become the greatest of the great villains in the history of cinema!
It’s hard not to hide my disappointment.
Nothing to do with Adam Driver, whom I felt immersed in his role as Kylo Ren, moving and whole, complex and nuanced, entangled in his own contradictions, imperfectly human.
